Clobetasol cream is a topical prescription corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of plaque-type psoriasis, moderate to severe scalp psoriasis, and steroid-responsive skin conditions. Topical clobetasol can also be used to treat severe or resistant eczema and contact dermatitis. Topical clobetasol reduces local inflammation by blocking chemical reactions that cause inflammation, changing how immune cells work, and constricting blood vessels.
